Bio
Casey Smith is a former Equal Justice Works Fellow at the ACLU Voting Rights Project sponsored by Bloomberg Philanthropies & Proskauer Rose LLP.
Casey is a graduate of Yale Law School. During law school, she participated in the Veterans Legal Services Clinic and won the C. LaRue Munson Prize for excellence in her clinical work. Casey is the co-author of Defending Voting Rights in Long-term Care Institutions, an Article in the Boston University Law Review. Casey received her Bachelor’s Degree with High Honors from Wesleyan University. Prior to law school, she worked as a paralegal at the International Refugee Assistance Project. Following her fellowship, she will serve as a law clerk to the Honorable Robert L. Pitman on the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas.
