Bio
Molly Kaplan is an Emmy-winning director who since 2012, has directed, executive produced, filmed, and edited hundreds of videos. Her work – in collaboration with some of the most talented filmmakers and animators in the country – has been screened at the Sundance Film Festival, DOC NYC, Alamo Drafthouse, Museum of the Moving Image and SXSW Film Festival. Molly’s work on comedic skits has been acknowledged by the Webby Awards and the DoGooder Awards. Her documentary shorts have been recognized by the Vimeo Staff Picks, Tribeca X Awards, SXSW Film Festival, Thin Line Fest, and the FOLCS Award.
For her work on documentary short Texas Strong, she is the winner of two Webby Awards and one Emmy.
Her photography and videos have been featured in Teen Vogue, The Guardian, them., The New York Times, CNN, Entertainment Weekly, MSNBC, Huffington Post, Jezebel, E Online, USA Today, the Hollywood Reporter, Al Jazeera, Salon, and The Washington Post.
