On January 26, 2022, 48 civil liberties and privacy organizations sent a letter to the Senate and House Judiciary Committees urging them to hold hearings on the the Fourth Amendment Is Not For Sale Act, a bipartisan bill that would close the loophole law enforcement agencies use to obtain Americans' cell phone location data without a warrant.
