Thanks to Edward Snowden's disclosures, we now know a bit more than we once did about the government's ability to track our every move online. But how many of us know exactly what we're signing away when a website asks us to "agree" to reams of indecipherable fine print? The award-winning documentary "Terms and Conditions May Apply" describes – often hilariously – the astonishing ways that corporations and the government use our most private information for profit and surveillance.
Demand Progress will be screening the film online at 5:00 p.m. EST on Sunday. Details are here. "Doors" open at 4:00 p.m. – don't be late, because the first 3,000 viewers will get to see the movie for free. (It will cost $3 per ticket after that.) As soon as the film is done, viewers will be redirected to reddit.com, where they will join Ben, the film's director Cullen Hoback, and Director of Strategy for Free Press Tim Karr for an AMA (Ask Me Anything).
The ACLU is working hard to rein in the surveillance state and bring privacy back to the Internet. Join us on Sunday to learn more about who is controlling your information, and how to join our fight.
